Have you checked out/taken materials (books, magazine, CDs, DVDs, tapes etc) from the LMC library but are afraid to return them because of fear of fines? Well, this is your lucky month…and a half. Between March 1, 2010 through National Library Week (April 18, 2010), the LMC library is having an amnesty program for all who will return library materials to us—NO questions asked; NO fines assessed. This is your opportunity to help us re-build a collection of library materials that will serve you and all students, faculty and staff of Los Medanos College. So help us help yourselves! Return library materials to the LMC Library! You will not have to pay any fines! We will not ask any questions! Guaranteed!

Speak Up!: A Celebration for Women's History Month |

The Los Medanos Library is sponsoring a lively celebration of National Women’s History Month on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 5 to 6pm in the Library’s Community Room. Speak Up features renowned storyteller and LMC part-time librarian, Carolyn Alexander, in an exploration of celebrated women throughout our colorful past. All members of the LMC community are encouraged to join in the celebration through poetry reading, storytelling, music, and performance.
