Welding Programs for Beginning & Advanced Training
– day, evening and weekend classes for men and women with training provided in English and Spanish by individual instructors.
The program in Welding Technology offers instruction in the principles and practices of welding processes. Successful completion of the the program provides sufficient training for entry level into the field of production-type welding. Students have access to the latest instructional and practical experiences in a spacious, modern shop facility.
An Associate in Science Degree may be earned by completion of the course requirements defined in the Associate Degree requirement section of the Los Medanos College Catalog.
A Certificate of Achievement may be earned by completion of competency requirements (see Competency Requirements in the Los Medanos College catalog; Note – a reading/writing exam option is available for Welding Technology majors), and the course requirements for the option selected with a 2.0 minimum cumulative grade point average.
