An introduction to the Internet covering the main components which include e-mail, the World Wide Web, search engines, usenet, and beginning web page creation.
This course will cover basic web design including how to select, lay out, and organize content on a web page. You will be introduced to HTML and XHTML, and other web software programs, which are used to create web pages for the Internet. Students will create a web site for business, educational, or personal use with tables, forms, links, lists, and images. (Half semester class.)
This course is required for the College Skills Certificate: Web Design and for the Certificate of Achievement in Computer Science.
