Advisory: Completion of Comsc 040
A compresensive survey of today's leading operating systems.
Students will learn the basic structure and operating procedures of the Microsoft Windows operating system necessary to control a contemporary microcomputer. In addition, students will develop skills in hardware configuration, startup customization, resource management, performance tracking and optimization, software and hardware troubleshooting, and the manipulation of audio and visual media. Students will also be exposed to alternative operating systems such as UNIX and LINUX as time permits.
Course will be taught using the current operating system version. |
