LMC Transfer Center offers assistance to students who plan to transfer to a four-year college. Students can transfer to a four-year college or university after completing at least 60 semester transferable units. Universities have lower division, general education/major requirements which can be fulfilled at Los Medanos College prior to transferring. Those students eligible for admission from high school may transfer at any point. The following services are available at the Transfer Center:
Transfer Admission Guarantees: A Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) is a written contract between you, Los Medanos College, and a specific and participating four-year college or university. This contract states that if you meet the requirements, you will be admitted to that four-year college or university. The TAG helps you understand:
The following institutions offer TAG's with LMC students: UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC San Diego (beginning for fall 2009), UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, St. Mary's College, and the University of the Pacific. "On-The-Spot" Admissions are available at several CSU campuses as well as Saint Mary’s College of California. Other transfer programs include concurrent enrollment with UC Berkeley, cross registration with CSU East Bay, and dual admissions program with CSU East Bay.
